This week’s fresh recipe for Apple Fillo Tarts uses all Aldi ingredients and is absolutely delicious!
Ingredients
8 sheets Antoniou Fillo Pastry
olive oil cooking spray
2 apples, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. Merryfield white sugar
1 tsp. ground cardamom
¼ cup White Mill flaked almonds
1 tbsp. Bramwells honey
½ cup Brooklea Lite vanilla yogurt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220ºC. Lay one pastry sheet on a flat work surface, covering the remaining sheets with a dry tea towel. Give the pastry sheet a light spray with oil. Place another sheet over the top and spray with the oil.
- Fold pastry in half crossways. Working quickly, tuck the corners underneath and carefully scrunch pastry edges to make a wrinkled round. Slide onto a large baking tray. Repeat with remaining pastry to create 3 more fillo rounds.
- Add sliced apples into the pastry rounds. Mix together sugar and cardamom in a bowl, then sprinkle over the tarts. Spray everything lightly with oil and top with almonds.
- Bake tarts for 8 minutes or until pastry is crisp and golden. Drizzle with honey and serve with yogurt.
- Serves 4.
Enjoy!
